Strengthen Connections for Dementia Families in Community

Time & Location

Apr 02, 9:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

About the Event

Communication and Memory challenges experienced by older adults with dementia are presented along with strategies to improve communication with them.  The second and third talks present the spiritual and religious needs of individuals with dementia and their families and outlines practical suggestions for how to adapt services and social/educational activities to enable greater participation. Integrating these vulnerable members and their families better within congregations strengthens community for all. Breakout rooms afterward to discuss specific scenarios.
